Director Biography – Daissy Pérez, Elizabeth Pérez
Almitas CC, is an artistic collective led by Daissy Pérez Ospina, Elizabeth Pérez Ospina and Lina Betancur Mesa. It has dedicated 12 years to the creation of video dance. Their outstanding work “Desasir” was awarded by the Instituto de Patrimonio y Cultura de Antioquia in 2022 and represented Colombian dance at the Festival Internacional de VideodanzaBA in Buenos Aires, Argentina in 2023. In addition, her works have been selected and honoured in film and video dance festivals worldwide, including her work “Inicio del sueño”.

Su destacada obra “Desasir” fue premiada por el Instituto de Patrimonio y Cultura de Antioquia en 2022 y representó a la danza colombiana en el Festival Internacional de VideodanzaBA en Buenos Aires, Argentina en 2023. Además, sus obras han sido seleccionadas y honradas en festivales de cine y videodanza a nivel mundial, incluyendo su trabajo “Inicio del sueño”.
