Slowly is a poetic, dark yet liberating work imagined by Ambre Perez and Christophe Dachy, combining dance and filmmaking performances in an intimate, slow-motion choreography between a dancer and a camera.
Months of training were required to perfect this performance, a veritable eulogy of slowness and self-acceptance. On the dance side, everything changes: supports, movements, body weight distribution. This perfection of movement, coupled with the exacting demands of near-immobility, is also reflected on the camera, with a production designed to the millimeter to create a perfect symbiosis between the two elements.
Driven by an original composition by Emile Cooper Leplay, the film questions our relationship with time and ourselves, inviting us to refocus and move from shadow to light, from injunction to liberation.
