Description
Two people go through their daily commute and exchange glances in a brief yet meaningful moment of contemplation. Everyday life becomes a shared journey, a fleeting connection within the rhythm of public transport.
Director’s statement
“Caught in the rush of daily life, we often ignore the beauty surrounding us. Only when we dare to truly look at each other do we create genuine connections.”
Programmer’s notes – Blas Payri
The piece uses pixelation (stop-motion with live subjects) to build a sense of continuity of the dancer’s body across different shots. The character seems to remain the same while the train travels through changing landscapes and light conditions, creating the impression of a continuous scene unfolding through time and space. The dancer appears among real passengers, adopting stylized, dance-like poses that contrast gently with the everyday stillness of the environment. The use of available light and documentary settings enhances the sense of authenticity while maintaining a subtle choreographic structure.
